Ring-shaped lateral ventricular nodules (RSLVNs) were first described in 2009 by Shimono et al as incidental findings on brain magnetic resonance imaging examinations. They are commonly considered as benign asymptomatic lesions, with a reported prevalence of 0.45% in routine clinical practice brain MRI . Nevertheless, the exact nature of RSLVNs has not yet been fully clarified due to the lack of histopathologic confirmation, with different proposed hypotheses ranging from neuroglial cyst to a variant of subependymoma
